Artist Alley: Amy Mebberson

One of my favorite artists is the former Disney animator, Amy Mebberson. I first fell in love with her work on the now-retired online comic "Thorn". The comic strip style comic about a little girl in the 50's whose main goal is world domination. It's fun style and sweet nature had me instantly in love.

Since then, Amy has gotten into doing proffessional comics. She's mostly been know for doing variant covers for the likes of Boom! Studios and IDW Publishing. However, I am excited to say that she will now be doing the insider art for Ape Entertainment's Strawberry Shortcake. The first issue will be published in July.

In her spare time, Amy draws artist trading cards called Fun Size cards which are a little bigger than normal sized cards. She sells these at conventions and occasionally offers up commissions for them online. I myself make sure to follow her Tumblr which has lots of art not seen elsewhere.

Amy also sells sketchbooks through the print-on-demand company lulu.
